IELTS FAQs

The registration fee for the IELTS exam in India is Rs.15, 500/-

IELTS-General is accepted for PR or Immigration, whereas IELTS-Academic is accepted for Studying abroad. Talk to our Immigration or Study abroad consultants for proper guidance prior appearing for General or Academics test.

IELTS can be taken as many times as required. There is no limit to the number of IELTS tests that one can take. However, you will need to pay the test fees for each attempt that you take.

The Reading and Writing sections are for 60 minutes each. The Speaking test takes about 10 to 15 minutes and is conducted like an interview by an examiner who assesses candidates on fluency, coherence, grammar, accuracy, lexical resources and pronunciation. The examiner generally conducts the Speaking test in 3 parts and records the entire conversation. Listening module is conducted in the duration of 40 minutes where 30 minutes are given to solve the question paper consisting of 40 questions based an audio given to hear, 10 minutes are extra given for transferring answers to the answer sheet.

For taking the IELTS exam, your minimum age should be at least 16 years and you must have a valid passport.

VISA FAQs

There are different types of Visas that are available based on your requirement and purpose of travel overseas such as Student Visa, Work Visa, Investor Visa, Business Visa, Dependent Visa, Visitor Visa, etc.

For a Canada Student Visa, you must get a minimum of 6 bands in each of the four IELTS modules for Undergraduate Courses, with an aggregate score of 6.0 or higher. Graduate courses require a score of 6.5 bands, with a minimum of 6.0 in each of the four parts to study in Canada.

A Canadian study permit is valid for the duration of your study course in Canada, plus an additional 90 days.
The extra 90 days are allotted for the purpose of either making preparations for leaving Canada or applying to extend your stay in Canada as an international student.

There are four different tests accepted in study visa applications these are:
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
  • Duolingo
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE)

Yes, you can work in Australia while studying. During study periods, international students are permitted to work a maximum of 40 hours per fortnight, and during study breaks, they can work an unrestricted number of hours. Students pursuing a master’s degree by research or a doctoral degree have no work limitations.

The fee for UG and PG courses are given approximately:
  • Free for UG: GBP 10,000 to GBP 20,000 per year
  • Fee for PG: GBP 16,000 to GBP 25,000 per year

You are permitted to work in the UK with a Student Visa if you study at a College or University that is listed both on the list of accredited bodies and the official list of UKVI sponsors.
Overseas students are permitted to work part-time for 20 hours weekly during term and full-time during vacations. They must be studying a full-time Post-graduate or Undergraduate course at a recognized University.

US Universities/Colleges expect a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 bands and the higher the score the better. The majority of them will accept the application for admission with at least 6.5 scores.

Yes, international students can work in the United States while studying, although there are some limits. On-campus work is permitted for M-1 and F-1 visa holders in certain training programs. During their first year of school, they are not permitted to work outside the college.
